Encounters and tours


Le Quartier’s Visitor Services department is expanding its activities to include a long-term programme of cultural and educational activities closely attuned to the needs of the public. All the information will be chronologically listed in DIARY

Tying in with the exhibitions at Le Quartier and with local and national art events like Museums Night and Word Odyssey, the encounters will include talks, performances, dialogue with the artists and regular get-togethers organised in partnership with related community associations.

Writing workshop
Organised four times a year by the Pot aux Roses association, the workshops invite participants to invent a new expressive language inspired by the works currently on show.

Tea and Tales Afternoon tea and the chance to discover art books in the company of storyteller Laurence Durand : pleasure for the taste buds and the imagination.
For all the family.

Video evenings
A selection of artists’ films and videos tying in with the exhibitions.

Speakers will talk about contemporary art as seen from their particular point of view : history, science, politics, economics, etc.

At-home evenings
Invite a group of friends to your home for the evening and Visitor Services will come along to present their current top pick.

Different kinds of tours will provide the opportunity to see the exhibition with a liaison officer, an artist or an exhibition curator.

Exhibition tours
During one weekend per exhibition, Visitor Services will provide a guided tour on request.

Out-of-the-ordinary tour
An exhibition interpreted along the way by an actor, musician or dancer.

Body language tour
Once a year deaf actor Levent Beskardes uses body language to share the Contemporary Art experience with the deaf, the hearing-impaired and the hearing.

Breton language tour
A guided tour of the exhibition in Breton. Possubl eo ! – Yes we can !

Family tour
A chance for families to enjoy an exhibition as they track down clues hidden in the works.

Hands-on tour
A tour of the current exhibition for the 5–10 year-olds, followed by a hands-on materials and techniques workshop.
