Caroline Boucher

née en 1972, vit à Montpellier

Caroline Boucher développe dans l’espace des structures faites de matériaux pauvres à partir d’une situation minimale : un angle, une oblique. Sans que le dessin en soi préconçu, des formes se créent par hybridation donnant naissance à des sculptures organiques inattendues.

Isabelle Mallard

née en 1966, vit à Quimper

Pour Isabelle Mallard, le premier geste qui conduit à la sculpture est une rencontre avec un objet trouvé, déchet d’usine ou d’industrie. À partir de là surgissent des dispositifs mécaniques indéchiffrables qui induisent une circulation ou une manipulation.

Alain Marchand

né en 1954, vit à Paris

Alain Marchand travaille entre le mot et la chose à construire des volumes de bois peints constitués d’éléments assemblés. Sa sculpture opère par accumulation, condensation, commutation, ses volumes montés sur roulettes contredisent le caractère statique souvent prêté à la sculpture.

Cyrille Mariën

né en 1969, vit à Lorient

À vocations multiples, les structures de Cyrille Mariën sont ambulantes, démontables, à géométrie variable. Elles peuvent être habitées, se déplacer, s’adapter au lieu qui les accueille ou le contredire.

Caroline Boucher

Born in 1972, lives in Montpellier

Caroline Boucher begings with a minimal form such as an angle, a slanted line, she then uses common materials to develop structures in space. Without the design itself being preconceived, the shapes are created by a process of hybridization that gives birth to unexpected organic sculpures.

Isabelle Mallard

Born in 1966, lives in Quimper

For Isabelle Mallard, the first act that leads to a sculpture is an encounter with a found object or with factory or industrial refuse. From that arise indecipherable mechanical arrangements that induce the viewer’s movement or manipulation.

Alain Marchand

Born in 1954, lives in Paris

Alain Marchand works between the word and the object to construct volumes of painted wood made of assembled elements. His sculpure operates by accumulation, condensation, substitution, his volumes mounted on small wheeles have contradicted the static nature often given to sculpture.

Cyrille Mariën

Born in 1969, lives in Lorient

Cyrille Mariën’s structures are mobile, dismantable, made of a changeable geometry. They can be inhabited, moved, adapted to a place that can welcome them or discourage them.
